עטור מצחך (זהב שחור) – Atur Mitzchech (Zahav Shahor)
has been voted several times as the best loved Israeli song ever.

The poet and actor Avraham Halfi wrote the lyrics in the 1950’s, describing deep love which may or may not be realized.
Some 20 years later the poem was composed by the great Yoni Rechter, and recorded by Arik Einstein with the young Yehudit Ravitz and Corinne Alal.

(This is the first version from 1977; the song was recorded again later in 1988 for an Arik Einstein album dedicated to Halfi’s songs).
