“Jews have lived in India for over 2,000 years and have never been discriminated against. This is something unparalleled in human history.” (Rabbi Yona Metzger)
The film is a reflection of today`s Jewish life in Kochi, a coastal city in Kerala, India. The Kochi Jew community are the oldest group of Jews in India, with possible roots claimed to date to the time of King Solomon. After the creation of Israel, majority of the Kochi Jews migrated to Israel, and today there are only 27 members remaining in Kochi. The film is an expression of human values and emotions while exploring a forgotten chapter of human migration in history.
