Eden Alene FEKER LiBi עדן אלנה – REACTION | Israel FINAL EUROVISION 2020 / ISRAVISION MIX (no.3)

Eden Alene’s “Feker Libi” is one of four songs that could represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020- depends on the choice of the Israeli Voters on the night of 3 March 2020.
The song is in five different languages – English, Amharic, Hebrew, Arabic and a made-up African language.

“Feker Libi” (Amharic for “My Love”) written by Doron Medalie as a songwriter ( the winner for ESC 2018- “Toy” by Netta Barzilay ) and Idan Raichel- Israel’s most famous musician who is experienced with the Ethiopian culture in his Israeli music.

In my mashup, I used Shakira’s “Waka Waka” (This Time for Africa -The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Song) to show the resemblance of the African Authentic culture she is using in the lyrics and the tribal look- looks like we’re gonna bring Africa to the stage.

“ISRAVISION” – A visual lecture with Israeli “Chutzpah” presented at a rapid pace, accompanied by video art connecting milestones in history to current events. Showcasing Israel’s desire to influence its international image by choosing songs that reflect the changing local reality.

השיר ״פקר ליבי״ (באמהרית: אהוב ליבי), הוא אחד מארבעת השירים המועמדים לייצג את ישראל בתחרות שירי-האירויזיון לשנת 2020, ע״י הנציגה הנבחרת, עדן אלנה, שניצחה בתחרות ״הכוכב הבא לאירוזיון״ אחרי שגם קטפה את פרס הזוכה בתחרות הריאליטי ״דה וויס״ בישראל.

השיר נכתב ע״י דורון מדלי, שזכה כבר בתחרות האירוזיון 2018 עם השיר ״טוי” של נטע ברזילי, ועידן רייכל, אחד המוזיקאים המפורסמים ביותר בישראל, המנוסה גם בשילוב התרבות האתיופית בתוך רבות מיצירותיו.

את השיר ״פקר ליבי״ שילבתי עם השיר בעל השראה האתנית-אפריקאית ״וואקה וואקה״” של שאקירה, שנעשה במיוחד למונדיאל שהתארח באפריקה. השיר המפתיע והקופצני, עם מצלול מילים שנשמעות אפריקאיות יחד עם הלוק האותנטי של עדן- נראה כאילו אנחנו הולכים להביא את אפריקה לבמה.

“ישראויזיון”- הרצאה ויזואלית עם חוצפה ישראלית בקצב מהיר, המלווה בוידאו ארט המחבר בין אבני דרך בהיסטוריה לאקטואליה. על הרצון להשפיע על התדמית הבינלאומית באמצעות בחירת השירים לעומת המציאות המקומית המשתנה.
