Final Kaddish – Yamim Noraim
Arranged by H. Zallis
Musical direction – Adam H. Golding
Sound Engineering – Doron Kanar Video editing – Mark Badler
Featuring Chazzan – Rabbi Dovid Hazdan
2020 has been an unprecedented year. It is with great sadness, for the first time in the history of our community, that the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services will not be led by the Chazzan and choir.
To keep our congregation connected and uplifted through music, the Great Park choir has produced recordings of some of the highlights of the Yom Tov services, remotely from their homes during the Corona lockdown.
Text to include in black bar below heads during song:
The Final Kaddish of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur is a high point of the service, and is sung to this tune across the world. Whilst the text of the Kaddish is best known as the recitation of a mourner, it is a statement of praise to G-d’s greatness and that is what this triumphant musical composition celebrates.
We thank members of the Great Park choir, both past and present from across the world for contributing to this recording under the direction of choir master Adam H. Golding, featuring Rabbi Hazdan as Chazzan.
Wishing you and your families a Shana Tovah and well over the Fast, The Great Park Team.
