Today, I was joined by Jerusalem’s best-loved viral food reviewer, Shimshon Sam Leshinsky, whose food posts have taken the Secret Jerusalem networking group by storm.
Shimshon and I decided to visit the Hineni Soup Kitchen on 18 Shlomtzion Street in downtown Jerusalem where we were met by manager Benjamin Philip.
As Benjamin explained, the soup kitchen provides a venue both for those in need to access free of charge meals and for those who can afford to pay to eat reduced cost meals – thereby destigmatizing hunger and poverty.
As is his custom, Shimshon evaluated the food on offer – making his way through an impressive assortment of starters and main courses.
