The Haim sisters — the Israeli- Yemenite band known as A-WA, performed their unique brand of music on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts last week. The sisters Tair, Liron, and Tagel started with their viral 2016 hit “Habib Galbi” (“Love of My Heart”), which was the first song in Arabic to top Israeli charts.

A-WA recently released a second album, Bayti Fi Rasi (My Home is in My Head), telling the story of their grandmother traveling from Yemen to Israel.

Give this a listen. You’ll be really glad you did.
