In this video I visit the ancient muslim cemetery of Mamilla which contains the graves of many Islamic leaders, scholars and other notables. This place is also said to host the unmarked tombs of thousands of Arabs and Muslims killed during the crusades.
In the past century or so however, this sprawling burial place has come under threat by both governments and developers who seek to build on top of its land due to its prime location in the centre of West Jerusalem. With this amazing place full of history slowly being erased, I thought it important to document all it’s major sites while I still could.
