Without a doubt, digital technology has reshaped the way we access healthcare resources for medical needs and decisions. Unfortunately, the intriguing medical stories we read online may be misinforming our understanding of new treatments or specific exposures to combat illness. We need to think beyond the medical headlines by asking a few good questions.

Kusha is a 2015 graduate of Austin College and a third-year as a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biostatistics and Data Science at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He is an intern at the Baylor College of Medicine and Memorial Hermann Trauma Center, providing statistical insight to cancer and patient care data analysis. In addition, he continues to work on his dissertation in statistical inference, on stochastic processes with applications in Alzheimer’s disease.
