Today’s portion is from Leviticus 21:1–24:23 it is called Emore which means “speak”

God tells the priests to avoid dead body except for his parent, child, brother, or virgin sister. High Priest could not be near any dead bodies. Head, beard and lock shaving as well as cutting self were prohibited. They were not to marry a harlot or divorcee. A priest’s daughter who became a harlot was to be executed. The High Priest was not to bare his head or rip his vestments. He was to marry only a virgin of his own kin.

Disabled priest could not offer sacrifices and were not allowed near the altar. Specific rules were given for sharing meat.
God commanded that the Sabbath, Passover, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot be kept on their specific days.

clear olive oil for lighting the lamps of the Tabernacle was brought on a regular basis. Twelve loaves were placed in the Tabernacle every Sabbath.

A man with an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father got in a fight, and pronounced God’s Name in blasphemy. He was taken outside the camp and stoned by the witnesses.
If a person hurt another person, the same would be done to them. Pound for a pound, eye for an eye.
