Shalom and welcome to the Parsha in 60 seconds

Today’s portion is from Exodus 35:1–38:20 it is called Vayakhel which means “and he assembled,”

The Israelites are prepping to build the Tabernacle. Moses reminded them of God’s commandment to keep the Sabbath of complete rest. Gifts of materials from those whose heart so moved them were collected. gold, silver, copper, colored yarns, fine linen, goats hair, tanned ram skins, acacia wood, olive oil, spices, lapis lazuli, and other precious stones were gathered. Skilled workers were invited to make the Tabernacle, its furnishings, and the priests’ gear.
Gifts were brought.
Bezalel and Oholiab were God gifted craftsman and were charged to construct the Tabernacle.
The Israelites gave generously to the collection.
The skilled workers began their projects.
they made the Tabernacle’s boards, silver sockets, bars of acacia-wood, rings of gold, veil, pillars of acacia-wood, screen for the door, and sockets of brass. Bezalel made the ark, cover, and table, The menorah and incense altar, and the altar for sacrifices, laver, and enclosure for the Tabernacle.
And that is Vayakhel in 60 seconds.
