One of the last nigunim taught by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, R Menachem Mendel Schneerson, on Simchas Torah following Hakafos, in 1963. This first two parts of nigun were sung by Chazan R’ Yechiel Halperin in Lubavitch, and it seems the Rebbe added the third section. It is sung in chasidic communities around the world in the Musaf repetition on Shabbat. The Rebbe also mentioned that this is a nigun that will greet the Redemption, and in our recording, we hold that in prayer, calling in a Redeemed reality.
Dedicated by Danielle & Ariel Sterman in loving memory of Danielle’s grandma, Betty Baron ob”m, a proudly Jewish woman who always used her voice for good.
