The successful series in Israel and around the world and winner of the Academy Award returns for a new and immersive season. Starting from 23/01 on YES, the second season will continue to follow the events of the Ermoza family from Jerusalem before the establishment of the state.
The family’s delicatessen runs into difficulties, and the family struggles to save it from ruin. Luna and David, the newlyweds, experience difficulties in their relationship which are intensified by meeting a group of British officers and their bohemian wives. Rosa and Gabriel’s relationship is also put to the test, when Gabriel’s love for Rachel returns and is renewed, and with it the relationship with his lost son. Ephraim goes to extremes in his views and actions, joining Lehi and putting his sister Rosa and her family in danger.
All this during the turbulent period of the Second World War and its effect on the Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel.
