“Shabnikim” tells the story of four yeshiva students studying in a boarding school in an ultra-Orthodox yeshiva. After at the end of the first season they flew up all the stairs, the Shabniks return to a season that is entirely outside the walls of the yeshiva. The four Shabniks must sit to get married but no yeshiva is willing to accept them. They find a loophole in the law that allows them to set up a fictitious yeshiva where they will be protected from any recruitment order, and live life the way they want to live it. They set up the yeshiva inside Dov’s grandmother’s apartment, in the heart of the last secular street left in Jerusalem, which arouses the neighbors who want to keep the spirit of the neighborhood and are not ready for this group to take over the small plot.
