As citizens of the United States head out to vote, we share a presentation of the Rebbe`s talks and statements regarding the American presidential election.
Somewhat unusually for a Chassidic leader, the Rebbe would publicly address the current events of his time during his Farbrengens. He also warmly received many politicians who came seeking his counsel and blessing.
While he touched on a wide range of issues related to the United States, the Rebbe would often return to a fundamental principle of it`s founding: the importance of uniting the entire nation around a common goal. Or as the country`s motto declares, “E pluribus unum – Out of many, one.”
