Central Synagogue hosts the world premiere of “VOICES,” a concert from composer Michael Shapiro based on Sephardic poetry of the Shoah, featuring Cantor Daniel Mutlu (Central Synagogue), Ember Choral Arts and the American Music Ensemble, conducted by Deborah Simpkin King. Special guest Paul Shaffer, Bandleader from The Late Show with David Letterman, appears along with composer Michael Shapiro to introduce and explain the piece.
