He ran a secret synagogue, oversaw Jewish marriages, taught Torah, and gave sermons every Shabbat and every Jewish holiday. He did it through tragedy, suffering, and war. Kalonymus Kalman Shapira, the Rebbe of the Warsaw Ghetto, is remembered today as a symbol of spiritual resistance through unbelievable circumstances.
