I`m thrilled to finally have released the first piece from my new album, Shirat HaShemesh VeHayareach. Performed in collaboration with some of my favorite musicians, the album is an expression if my voice within Jewish, Chassidic Nigun.
This piece, in particular, was an awesome adventure – a song that largely crafted itself and took a number of unexpected twists and turns… the banjo being one of them! The album – the double album – is a mix of melodies and rhythms for the day and for the night, bringing to life the song the sun and the moon sing to their creator. The common thread that ties the music together is the depth and authenticity of the performances, each note finding its proper place and each beat falling where it belongs.
I have endless gratitude to my dear friend Gilad Ronen for bringing my vision to life through his magnificent musicality and talent for arrangement and production. I am also grateful to all those wondrous artists who partnered with me on this journey, may it bring us closer to the righteous Mashiach speedily in our days.

אני שמח לשתף אתכם, סוף סוף, בשיר הראשון מתוך האלבום החדש שלי – “שירת השמש והירח”. האלבום שבוצע בשיתוף פעולה עם כמה מהנגנים האהובים עליי, מביא לידי ביטוי את קולי מתוך הניגון היהודי, החסידי. הקטע הזה במיוחד היה הרפתקה – שיר שעיצב את עצמו במידה רבה ולקח אותנו לכיוונים לא צפויים… הבנג`ו הוא אחד מהם!
האלבום החדש (אלבום כפול) הוא שילוב של מנגינות ומקצבים ליום וללילה, ומביא לחיים את השירים שהשמש והירח שרים ליוצרם. החוט המשותף העובר במוזיקה הוא עומק ואותנטיות, כל תו מוצא את מקומו הראוי וכל פעימה נופלת לאן שהיא שייכת.
יש לי הכרת תודה אינסופית לידידי היקר גלעד רונן על שהביא את החזון שלי לחיים דרך המוסיקליות המפוארת שלו וכישרונו לעיבוד והפקה. אני גם אסיר תודה לכל אותם אמנים מופלאים שחברו אליי למסע זה. אני מתפלל שהאלבום יצליח לגעת בלבבות ולקרב אותנו במהירות למשיח צדקנו במהרה בימינו, אמן.
